Description

The Gaelic Academy at Ulster University was founded in 1973 as the then Ulster Polytechnic and represents Camogie, Hurling, Handball and Ladies and Men’s football. It is now generally regarded as one of the largest, most successful and innovative clubs within the third level sector. Past players include DJ Kane, Dermot Mc Nicholl, Noel Donnelly, Mark Lynch, Mattie Donnelly, Chrissie McKaigue, Sean and Colm Cavanagh, John and Tony McEntee. Hurlers Neil McManus, Arron Graffin, Conor McCann, Ciaran Clarke, Paul Braniff, Danny Toner and Gerald Walsh. Camogie and Ladies players include Gráinne McGoldrick, Grace McMullen, Karen Kielt, Fionnuala and Sarah Louise Carr and Niamh Mallon, Neamh Woods, Aimee Mackin and Aileen Pyers.
